Services

Our Low Slope Roofing Services

We cover the full range of tile roofing work from a quick repair on a handful of broken tiles to a complete tear-off and replacement. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

Low Slope Roof Inspection

biggest problems often hide around penetrations and in drainage low spots.

Request a professional roof inspection before a small issue turns into a major repair.

Low Slope Roof Repair

Most low-slope roof failures start at seams, flashings, or penetrations. We fix the source of the problem, not just what is leaking through the ceiling.

See our roof repair services for more details.

Low Slope Roof Installation

Material selection on a low-slope roof depends on the exact pitch. We assess what works at your slope before we recommend anything, because not every product is rated for every pitch.

Low Slope Roof Replacement

When a low-slope roof has reached the end of its service life or when damage is too widespread to repair, we manage the full tear-off and replacement, including addressing any deck damage underneath.

Low Slope

Roof Materials

Low-slope roofing is not a single product. It is a category defined by pitch, and the right system depends on exactly where your roof falls in that range.

Modified Bitumen

Modified Bitumen

Asphalt-based membrane that works well across low-slope applications. Multiple layers give it good puncture resistance. Holds up in cold climates where freeze-thaw cycles put stress on roofing materials

TPO and EPDM

TPO and EPDM

Single-ply membranes suited for low slope pitches down to near-flat. TPO reflects heat and works well in warmer markets like Dallas, Charlotte, and Raleigh. EPDM stays flexible in cold weather and is a reliable choice

Low-Slope Rated Shingles

Low-Slope Rated Shingles

Lighter-weight alternatives made to look like clay or slate. Lower structural demands mean they work on homes that cannot support the weight of traditional tile. Lifespans vary by manufacturer, generally 30 to 50 years.

Why Pitch Changes Everything

A low slope roof has a pitch between 2:12 and 4:12. That means for every 12 inches of horizontal run, the roof rises 2 to 4 inches. It looks pitched when you stand on the street, but that is not enough angle for standard shingles to shed water reliably. Below 2:12, the roof is considered flat and needs a membrane system. Between 2:12 and 4:12, your material options are more limited than on a steeper roof.

Standard asphalt shingles shed water by moving it quickly down the slope and off the edge. On a low slope, water moves slowly and stays in contact with the surface much longer. That gives it more time to find gaps, wick under overlaps, and work its way through. Installing standard shingles on a low-slope roof will almost always result in leaks before the product reaches its rated lifespan.

A Proven Process for Low Slope Roofing Projects

We begin every project with a full inspection of the membrane, slope, drains, and all penetration flashings. You get a written report before any work is discussed or quoted. If the damage involves an insurance claim, our team helps document everything your adjuster needs and meets on-site if that is useful. We put together a clear scope and timeline, and we stick to it. What our customers are saying about our Roofing services

Homeowners across the country choose Premier Roofing services for quality they can see and service they can trust. With thousands of successful projects and countless 5-star reviews, our reputation speaks for itself. From quick repairs to full roof replacements, customers praise our professionalism, honesty, and lasting results.

I was hit by a hail storm. Enrique stopped by and offered to do a free estimate. He showed me photos of the damage that was found and worked with me and my insurance company to get the roof on my house and garage replaced in a timely manner (the actual replacement took less than 2 days). We were also able to upgrade from shingle to metal. Enrique and Justin were always excellent about answering all my questions. The cost was reasonable and I am very happy with the result.

Taryn Ginter, Fort Collins, CO

Our family had a great experience with this company. We needed a sewer vent leak checked, and Sean Barrett offered a complimentary post hail inspection. He found major damage that insurance approved for a full replacement of our roof, gutters, and downspouts. Sean guided us through inspections, insurance, color choices like black shingles and white gutters and downspouts, and scheduling work after we repainted. He was always responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this company. Our home feels brand new!

Beth Lewis, Fort Collins, CO

Every phase of our roof and gutter/downspout replacement went very smooth and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Our salesman Jordan was terrific. Things went just as he explained they would and I could tell my insurance claims adjustor trusted Jordan’s judgement. Our crew chief Colton ran a hard working skilled crew that had attention to detail. I highly recommend Premier roofing.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your roof looks barely pitched from the street but you would not call it flat, you are probably in low-slope territory. A quick way to check: hold a level against the roof surface and measure how many inches it rises over a 12-inch run. Between 2 and 4 inches means a low slope. We measure exact pitch during every professional roof inspection, so if you are not sure, that is a good reason to schedule one.

It depends on the pitch. At 4:12, some shingles can work with enhanced installation, but below that, standard shingles are not rated for it and will fail early. Using the wrong product also voids the manufacturer’s warranty, which matters if you ever need to file an insurance claim. During a new roof installation, we will tell you exactly what your pitch allows and what the right options are.

Low-slope roofs are tricky because water does not drop straight through. It travels horizontally along the deck before it finds a gap to come through. The wet spot on your ceiling can be several feet from the actual entry point. Our team uses specialized roof repair services and a systematic approach to find the source, not just where the water is showing up inside.

Most residential low-slope projects are done in one to three days. Commercial buildings with larger footprints take longer. We give you a realistic timeline when providing a quote for roof replacement and update you throughout the job. For properties where downtime is a concern, we can sometimes phase the work to keep disruption manageable.

Most insurance providers cover hail and storm-related damage, but will deny claims based on normal wear and tear. On low-slope roofs, storm damage can be subtle and easily missed compared to standard pitches. We specialize in identifying these hidden issues and providing the detailed documentation adjusters require. This expertise is vital for navigating successful claims in hail-heavy areas like Denver, Fort Collins, and Wichita, especially for commercial roofing projects.
